소개글 (Introduction)

 

안녕하세요, 보통의 공대생입니다.

 

블로그를 개설한지는 벌써 3년 정도 되었지만 막상 소개글을 작성하지는 않은 것 같아 후다닥 씁니다.

이 블로그는 제가 학부 4학년 때 휴학을 하면서 공부하던 것들을 정리하고 싶어서 만든 블로그입니다.

현재도 대학원생으로 지내며 공부한 것들을 정리해서 올리려고 노력하고 있습니다.

 

글을 정리하는 이유는 여러가지가 있겠지만

1) 공부한 것을 글로 적음으로써 생각을 정리하고 남에게 설명하는 법을 배우는 것

2) 여기저기 흩어져있는 지식들의 연결 고리를 찾아내어 이를 유기적으로 정리하는 것

3) 다른 사람들에게 유익한 정보를 제공하는 것

 

다음과 같은 이유가 될 것 같네요. 물론 목적에 걸맞게 글을 쓰고 있는가에 대해서는 항상 고민이 됩니다. 블로그라는 것 자체가 책이 아닌 인터넷의 글이기 때문에 가볍게 써도, 무겁게 써도 허용이 되니 길게 쓰기보다는 차라리 자주 쓰고 싶다는 생각도 듭니다. 너무 무겁게만 쓰려고 하면 제가 금방 지쳐서 떨어져 나갈 테니까요. 개인적으로 인터넷에 꾸준히 좋은 공학 내용을 올려주시는 분들이 부럽고 감사합니다.

 

이름에 관하여

[보통의 공대생]은 평범한 공대생 중 한 명으로써 겪은 시행착오와 공부를 담고자 하는 마음으로 지었습니다. 한편, 제가 알랭 드 보통 작가 글을 좋아한 것도 한 몫 합니다.

 

목표

사람들에게 가르치고, 저도 가르침을 받으며 함께 연구를 하는 사람이 되고 싶습니다.

또한 이를 글과 영상 등의 매체로 남김으로써 다른 사람들에게 좋은 영향을 줄 수 있으면 좋겠습니다.

Hello, I'm an ordinary engineering student (보통의 공대생 in Korean).

It's been about 3 years since I started this blog, but I realized I never actually wrote an introduction, so I'm quickly writing one now.

I created this blog while I was on a leave of absence in my fourth year of undergraduate studies, to organize the things I was studying at the time.

Even now, as a graduate student, I'm trying to organize and post what I'm learning.

There are several reasons why I organize my writing:

1. By writing down what I've studied, I can organize my thoughts and learn how to explain things to others.
2. I try to find the connections between various scattered pieces of knowledge and organize them in a coherent way.
3. I aim to provide useful information to others.

These are some of the reasons. Of course, I always wonder if I'm writing appropriately for these purposes. Since a blog is not a book but rather an Internet article, I feel it's acceptable to write either lightly or seriously. Rather than writing long posts, I prefer to write more frequently. Writing too seriously can be exhausting and lead to burnout. Personally, I admire and appreciate those who consistently post good engineering content on the Internet.

 

About the Name

[Ordinary Engineering Student] is a name I chose to reflect the trials and studies I've experienced as just one of many ordinary engineering students. Also, my fondness for the writings of Alain de Botton played a role in choosing this name. (It's a pun of Korean)

 

Goals

I want to become someone who teaches others, learns from others, and conducts research together. Also, I hope to have a positive impact on others by leaving behind written and video content.
